The year 2017 will be here before you know it… and with it, a new generation of the Audi A4. It’s lighter, more powerful, and more advanced than anything of it’s kind. In anticipation of its release, Audi has let us in on a sneak peek of the 2017 Audi A4. Though it only has one engine option – turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque – that should be all you need.
The style is clean, minimalistic, and understated. Front-wheel drive comes standard on this model or buyers can upgrade to all-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive offers 25-mpg city and 33 highway. All-wheel drive offers 24-mpg city and 31 highway. The transmission offered is a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.
Interior equipment got an upgrade too: automatic climate control with rear control, 40/40/20 split-folding rear seat, and a choice between infotainment systems. The base version is a 7-inch center screen and rotary controller, and the upgraded version is an 8.3-inch screen, navigation system, and touchpad. The A4 offers better interior room and comfort for all passengers, feeling more spacious than previous models. Passengers get an extra inch of headroom and 2.6 inches in front shoulder room, with the longest cabin in its class. The back seat has higher and longer bottom cushion for better comfort. Big cup holders and a better-shaped center console offer better storage, too.
Pricing for the 2017 Audi A4 starts at $38,250, with upgrades adding extra cost to the sticker price. Future developments for the A4 are definitely possible, including a manual transmission. Check out photos and specs of the new 2017 Audi A4.
